Greenwood and DreamFi announce partnership.

Greenwood was built on a simple idea: our community deserves a bank made for us. That idea does not end today. It moves to DreamFi.

Greenwood and DreamFi, the financial technology company co-founded by civil rights attorney Ben Crump, have formed a partnership. DreamFi was built for the same community and for the same reasons we built Greenwood, so that is where we are inviting Greenwood members to go.

Your new home at DreamFi

DreamFi is open now, with banking services provided by FinWise Bank, Member FDIC.2 Greenwood members get a welcome offer: your first 30 days of membership are free, and if you stay a member for 60 days and make one qualifying purchase with your DreamFi Visa® debit card, DreamFi deposits $40 into your DreamFi checking account.3 After the first 30 days, membership is $9.99 a month3 for a checking account, a Visa® debit card, and benefits like telehealth and term life insurance. How to join is on our home page. Joining is your choice. You are free to bank wherever you like.

Making the move

As part of this partnership, the Greenwood banking program with Coastal Community Bank, Member FDIC, ends and all Greenwood accounts close at the end of the day on Thursday, November 12, 2026.1 Until then your account works as it does today. Your deposits are held at Coastal Community Bank and remain eligible for FDIC insurance, subject to applicable limits and requirements.

Move your money to DreamFi or to the bank of your choice before November 12. We will not move it for you, and nothing transfers automatically. The dates and the steps, including direct deposit and autopay, are on the member update, and we will email them to you every week until the close.

Economic empowerment has always been inseparable from civil rights. This partnership between Greenwood and DreamFi ensures that the important work will grow.

Ambassador Andrew Young, civil rights leader and Greenwood co-founder

From day one, Greenwood has been about more than banking. It’s been about economic justice and creating opportunities for wealth creation in communities that have been historically excluded.

Ben Crump, DreamFi co-founder

To everyone who banked with Greenwood, thank you. You believed in a bank built for our community, and that belief is what made this partnership possible. We know it was not always smooth, and we appreciate that you stayed with us. We are here to help you get your money moved, through December 22, 2026, at support@gogreenwood.com or 844-625-1921.

What to do before November 12

The steps, the dates, and the DreamFi offer are all on one page.
